Whole Foods Market (50,400 SF on ground floor & 2nd floor mezzanine) – The highly anticipated opening of Whole Foods Market occurred on March 20, 2002. Portland Energy Systems (PES) (4,100 SF) – PES, an affiliate of Portland General Electric, operates a district cooling system for downtown Portland that serves all of the buildings in The Brewery Blocks. The system allows building owners to avoid the capital, energy, operating, and maintenance costs associated with owning and operating their own system, and provides significant energy savings and net reductions in water and sewer usage and charges for its customers.
